Result: a cleaner air/fuel mix, better-breathing intake, more torque, and less carbon build-up in the engine. ## Compatible vehicles Fits the **1.4 CRDi (D4FC)** and **1.6 CRDi (D4FB)** diesel engines of the Hyundai-Kia group, from 75 to 136 hp, fitted notably to: - **Hyundai:** i20 I, i30 (hatchback, estate and Coupe), ix20, Accent IV, Elantra - **Kia:** Cee'd and Pro Cee'd, Rio III, Soul I, Venga, Carens III, Rondo III ## How to identify my EGR valve: 5 pins or 2 pins? On these same 1.4 and 1.6 CRDi engines, Hyundai and Kia used two different EGR valves. This plate fits the **electric valve with a 5-pin connector, part number 28410-2A300**. The valve with a 2-pin connector (part number 28410-2A350) has a different shape: do not mix them up. Before ordering, simply check the connector on your valve, compare with our product photos, or send us a photo of your engine by email. ## OEM references and EGR valve equivalents To make sure you order the right plate, compare your EGR valve's reference number with those listed below. - **Hyundai / Kia:** 28410-2A300 This valve is also sold under the equivalent part numbers Febi Bilstein 174388, Nissens 98312, Pierburg 7.11237.07.0, NGK 95819, NRF 48696, Hitachi / Astemo 2505957 and 2508497, Meat & Doria 88305, Autlog AV6216 and ERA 555357. ## Why block off the EGR valve? The EGR valve recirculates part of the exhaust gases back into the intake to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The downside: it clogs the intake, produces black smoke, and weakens the air/fuel mix. Blocking it off improves engine efficiency and available torque. ## Fitting and check engine light The correct fitting direction is shown directly on the product photos. On this type of ECU, the absence of EGR flow can trigger a dashboard warning light or limp mode.
