How can I find out what material this product is made of?

Simply by using the product reference. If the reference has 5 digits (example 17525) the tubes are made of stainless steel and the body of the silencers is made of aluminized steel. If the product number has 6 digits and starts with 8 (example 817525)

The stainless steel used in the vast majority of Flowmaster products is 409S stainless steel. X6CrTi12 (AISI 409): C: 0.06%, Cr: 11-13%, Ti (titanium), used in automotive exhausts, furnaces, etc.

The mention in.16 Gauge (AWG) is a US measurement to mark the thickness of the material (American Wire Gauge), also used to measure the thickness of an electric cable, for example: 16 Gauge = +/- 1,29mm.
