By physically blocking the return of exhaust gases into the intake, you preserve your engine's cleanliness and optimize its efficiency. ### Why install an EGR blanking plate? The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system is the primary cause of intake manifold clogging and carbon deposits in diesel engines. Installing this plate allows you to: - **Eliminate black smoke:** By ensuring a constant supply of fresh intake air. - **Reduce carbon buildup:** Prevents soot formation in the intake manifold and valves. - **Maintain performance:** Avoids power loss associated with EGR system clogging. - **Increased reliability:** Avoids costly EGR valve failures (such as sticking in the open position). ### **Example of compatible vehicles:** - **CITROËN** C5 phase 1 and 2: 2.2 HDi, from 06.2001 to 08.2004, 2179 ccm, 133 HP - **PEUGEOT** 406 Saloon, Estate or Coupe: 2.2 HDi, from 03.2000 to 05.2004, 2179 ccm, 133 HP - **PEUGEOT** 607 Saloon: 2.2 HDI, from 02.2000 onwards, 2179 ccm, 133 HP ### Technical Specifications **Material:** High-quality Stainless Steel (corrosion and heat resistant) **Thickness:** Designed for a perfect seal without deformation **Installation:** Quick, fits between the EGR valve and the intake pipe or manifold Stainless steel plate to blank the EGR valve for 2.2 HDi engines (**DW12TED4**). **Technical note:** **not compatible with plastic intake manifolds**. To be positioned as close as possible to the intake manifold (see illustration). - **Materials:** Stainless steel - **Motorization:** Other Motorizations - **Motorization:** 2.2 HDI (133 hp) - **Make:** Peugeot - **Make:** CITROeN - **Model:** C5 Break (02/2001 - 06/2008) - **Model:** 406 Wagon (11/1996 - 04/2004) - **Model:** 607 (05/2000 - 01/2011) - **Model:** C5 Berlin (02/2001 - 03/2008) - **Model:** 406 Berlin (10/1995 - 03/2004) - **Model:** 406 Coupe (05/1997 - 10/2004) - **Product Range :** Engine - **Engine** EGR and gas recirculation [15 IN STOCK](https://dynaparts.fr/en/goodies-clothing/216218-car-deodorizer-dynaparts-smell-new-car.html) ##### [Car deodorizer Dynaparts smell new car](https://dynaparts.fr/en/goodies-clothing/216218-car-deodorizer-dynaparts-smell-new-car.html) Hummm!
