Las barras laterales se venden por pares, para poder equipar el lado izquierdo y el derecho del vehículo.
Algunas barras, en particular las interiores, requieren taladrar orificios para su fijación. Lo mismo ocurre con algunas barras de motor que deben pasar bajo el parabrisas, lo que exige recortar la chapa.
