AWD Turbo until March 1990 (fixing 6 screws)

Maximum supported torque: 1491 NM (Newton Mètre)

Single clutches, with original design: they have the same dimensions as your original clutch. They are sometimes sold alone and can therefore be fitted with the original flywheel. Sometimes you will even be offered a single-mass flywheel if available. You will then be able to put together a complete kit. You will then be able to combine a Spec clutch with a dual-mass flywheel, or a Spec single-mass with a clutch from another brand if it has the original dimensions. Clutches are in most cases available from stage 1 to stage 5. Stages 1, 2 and 2+ are damped (if this is already the case originally), with relatively flexible materials, they allow you to maintain very good driving comfort. Ideal for an original vehicle or stage 1 type preparation. Stages 3 and 3+ are for advanced use, ideal for a nice stage 2 type preparation (stage 3 in multi-pads and 3+ solid disc) while remaining damped (if this is already the case originally). 4 and 5 are non-damped for racing use (4 in multi-pads and 5 solid and concave). For purely track use, we recommend a single-mass Aluminum and Steel flywheel for mixed use.

Single clutches, with a specific SPEC design: Clutches and/or flywheels with a simplified design, they are not compatible with the original flywheel. More resistant because often with a simplified pressure plate (without self-adjusting mechanism), they are developed to remove the improvable design of the original design. To be mounted only in the Spec single-mass clutch/flywheel pack. Clutches are in most cases available from stage 1 to stage 5. Stages 1, 2 and 2+ are damped (if this is already the case originally), with relatively soft materials, they allow you to keep very good driving comfort.

Carbon clutches: Light and resistant, these multi-disc packs offer incredible lightness and resistance. At the top of current technology, they are perfectly suited to hyper-prepared vehicles intended for high-level competition.

Mini-Twin clutches: Light and reduced, they are a perfect solution for a vehicle in advanced preparation being used for a fairly sustained circuit outing. It offers a different number of discs depending on its finish (2 discs = R-trim, D-trim or H-trim or 3 discs in X-trim), but also a different diameter depending on its use (Street, Race, Cross, Drag, Time attack...etc...). Ideal for small, powerful, lively and responsive models.

Super-Twin clutches: Complete pre-assembled multi-disc packs, these kits are designed for use on very large preparations. Hyper resistant and designed with high-strength materials, they are perfectly suited to daily use, without much loss of comfort. Ideal for a well-muscled Daily car.

Some practical information:

  • Be careful with the chosen torque resistance (the clutch stage). The torque indicated is the MAXIMUM torque supported. Always choose a safety margin of at least 20% more. If the disc "freezes" during use, it is because you have chosen a stage that is too low. This will not be covered by the warranty.
  • The stops are not included!! Included are height adjustment shims if necessary, the centering tool and screws if they must differ from the original. We invite you to wait for receipt of the package to check the contents before assembly.
  • The clutch discs can be delivered damped or non-damped. This choice is made by Spec, to obtain the best performance. If you have a preference on the type of disc, specify it to us when ordering and we will only do it if it is technically possible.
  • The clutch kits are designed for vehicles assembled strictly as originally. If you have a gearbox changed by another mmodel, or a flywheel different from the original, it is imperative to specify it to us when ordering. Since clutches and flywheels are made to order, they are neither returned nor exchanged.
  • Be careful when choosing stage 5 products. The disc is concave, it makes a loud whistling noise at low engine speed. With the speed of rotation it flattens and the noise disappears.

The installation of a single-mass flywheel reveals the rolling noises of the crankshaft and the inertia of the flywheel which are no longer absorbed by the dual-mass. A rolling noise is then heard in neutral or when disengaging the clutch. This is a normal effect that is important to know.

To be communicated to us when ordering:

  • - Month and year of vehicle registration
  • - Exact engine (displacement and power).
  • - Engine torque (if vehicle prepared).
  • - Fuel if necessary (petrol or diesel) example: BMW 530, 320...etc...
  • - Number of gears in the gearbox
  • - Mounting on the original flywheel or on a single-mass flywheel (then specify the brand).

You will find, at the time of order confirmation, a specific box to leave us a message. This will allow us to adjust the order if necessary.
