Specificities of vehicles equipped with studs when mounting wheels.

Do you want to mount lanes expanders on your vehicle equipped with wheel studs?

There are important things to know about this.

Your vehicle is a Japanese (Honda, Mazda, Lexus...etc...) or a Ford?

You are then in the majority of cases equipped with Goujons wheels fixed on the hub.

These studs came into the vehicle's hub and went beyond. Therefore, you can fix the rim with nuts.

Things get complicated when you want to climb lanes.

Two cases:

You want a simple bolt:

So we have to be careful of the chosen thickness. If you take a less thick hold than the length of your studs, the nuts and the end of the thread of your studs will exceed the surface of the hold.

Either you have original rims with "puits", as in the picture here presented, and you only have to make sure that the "pass" will fit into these wells. Either you have "plate" rims on their supporting surface and you will have to order shorter studs to change them, or cut the original studs (to the extent in-situe).

You want double bolts:

No worries, double bolts are provided with suitable size studs. You still have to change the original studs.

We are always at your disposal to help you.

Note that the change of the studs is not easy, it takes tooling and it requires time because they are well pressed and you often have to remove the discs...etc...
