You propose to remove the EGR valve, but why?

Do you often hear about EGR valve? Here we explain to you what it serves, and why you can delete it, or at least obstruct it!

Why condemn his EGR valve:

Recent European pollution control standards have made EGR valves mandatory on diesel vehicles. But how does an EGR valve work and what is it for? The EGR valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation or recirculation of the exhaust gas) reduces the emissions of toxic gases in the atmosphere. Indeed, EGR valves were installed to redirect part of the exhaust gas to the injection to burn them a second time.

When a Diesel engine turns at idle or low speed (about 2,500 rpm), there is still a portion of the exhaust gas that is badly burned. This rejects an excess of nitrogen oxide and fine particles in the atmosphere. To reduce these releases, the manufacturers installed the EGR valve, with the EGR valve between 5% and 35% of the exhaust gas recycled according to the engine type.

Over time, the EGR valve can cause some dysfunctions of your vehicle including long-term crashing of the intake system. The EGR valve can eventually be completely obstructed by soot. If the valve damper remains in closed position, your vehicle works normally, however it pollutes more. On the other hand, a permanently open valve may seriously damage your intake system even to create large black smokes.

Thanks to the EGR valve removal kits or circuit obstruction plates, positive impacts are felt on your vehicle. In fact, there is an increase in combustion speed, resulting in an increase in engine performance and therefore a decrease in fuel consumption. Your engine only consumes fresh air and fuel. The mixture is no longer emptied by hot gas. You thus gain more torque and engine reactivity while having no more dirt. On vehicles after 2003 (usually), a light can turn on. An engine reprogramming must then be associated to electronically delete the operation of the valve.

We also offer perforated plates to keep the EGR valve system in place but lowering its operation to a minimum in order to reduce the crash and avoid the engine light turning on. These solutions are ideal for gaining power from your competitive vehicle.

The operating system is quite simple. a conduit connects the intake to the exhaust. A valve located between the two (the EGR valve therefore), opens from time to time to allow a portion of the gas to pass. The gas rises because of the pressure difference between intake and exhaustion, naturally. A plate, located anywhere in the duct allows to butcher this duct. Thus, when the valve opens, there is no air call. The gas continues in the exhaust. Nothing simpler...

Attention, of course it is forbidden to modify or delete an anti-pollution element of your vehicle on you drive on open road.

These pieces are reserved for use in competition.
