DS118574 - Haldex/BorgWarner axle pre-charge pump for VAG group vehicles equipped with first-generation Haldex couplings.
The BorgWarner DS118574 four-wheel drive pump is a key component of the Haldex-type all-wheel drive system fitted to many models from the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda groups. It pressurizes the multi-plate coupling on the rear axle, allowing torque to be transferred to the rear wheels when traction is needed. Ideal for replacing a faulty original pump (ESP/4x4 warning lights, loss of traction, Haldex fault codes), this part is perfectly suited to both stock vehicles and modified cars used for sporty driving.

Symptoms of a faulty Haldex 4x4 pump
- Loss of rear-wheel drive (the vehicle behaves like a front-wheel drive).
- ESP/4x4/transmission warning lights illuminated and fault codes related to the pump or coupling oil pressure.
- Error messages in the Haldex control unit and inability to launch certain procedures adaptation.
