EGR valve delete for Fiat Group diesel engines
This stainless steel plate blocks the flow of exhaust gases recirculated by the EGR valve. Result: a cleaner air/fuel mix, better-breathing intake, more torque, and less carbon build-up in the engine.
Compatible vehicles
Fits diesel engines fitted with this EGR valve, found notably on:
- Alfa Romeo: 147, 156, 156 Sportwagon, 166
- Fiat: Bravo I and II, Doblo (van and MPV), Idea, Marea and Marea Weekend, Multipla, Stilo (all body styles)
- Lancia: Lybra, Lybra SW, Musa, Thesis
Not sure about your vehicle? Simply compare the shape of your EGR valve with our product photos, or send us a photo of your engine by email.
OEM references and EGR valve equivalents
To make sure you order the right plate, compare your EGR valve's reference number with those listed below.
- Alfa Romeo / Fiat / Lancia: 71789048, 60816439, 55182483, 55230930
This valve is also sold under the equivalent part numbers NRF 48334, Abakus 121-01-001, Ridex 1145E0019, Vemo V24-63-0002, Magneti Marelli 571822112004, JP Group 3319900100, Kamoka 19097, Wahler 710774D, Casco CVG74008AS, NGK 92511 and Aisin EGRAZ-7017.
Why block off the EGR valve?
The EGR valve recirculates part of the exhaust gases back into the intake to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The downside: it clogs the intake, produces black smoke, and weakens the air/fuel mix. Blocking it off improves engine efficiency and available torque.
Fitting and check engine light
The correct fitting direction is shown directly on the product photos. On these engines, the ECU can detect the absence of EGR flow and trigger a dashboard warning light or limp mode: an electronic intervention may then be needed to clear the alert for good.
Any question or doubt about your engine? Our customer service team replies quickly, just send a photo.
