The MQB 'Evo' intercooler from RacingLine features a body using extra tall internal tubes for maximum boost flow and massive boost. of 96% of the volume.
Cast iron end boxes ensure minimal turbulence and restriction with internal flow guides to divert airflow up and down throughout the depth of the core, with an enlarged inlet and outlet of 70 mm (compared to 60 mm for the original cooler).
These increased 70mm diameter inlet and outlet sizes allow for higher flow rate compared to smaller factory intercoolers. The reinforced silicone hoses provided contribute to this performance. With a multi-layer and woven design, these hoses are designed to resist thermal deformation and bursting pressure. Delivered with Mikalor brand stainless steel clamps.
Development focused on finding the “sweet spot” between maximum IAT cooling and minimum pressure loss. This allowed us to achieve increased size without increased lag.
By constantly reducing Intake Air Temperatures (IAT), heat absorption is minimized, delivering increased performance again and again. No need for the recovery cooling times needed for the production intercooler.
An essential upgrade for any 2.0 TSI MQB “Evo” car.
To accommodate the giant size of the RacingLine Intercooler, slight trimming of the black plastic radiator support is required.
This trim cutout is minimal on popular models such as the Golf mk8, but a larger cutout may be required on some other MQB 'Evo' models.
