Why install an oil cooler kit?
Oil cooling kit Racingline, very expected, fits perfectly to all powerful MQB 2.0 TSI cars, operating at high power or in hot climates. It is a complete package ready to install, using a smart sandwich plate design for a simple and reliable installation.
In fact, adding power to these TSI engines generates more heat, which is necessarily harder to eliminate. A significant increase in oil temperature means only one thing: a decrease in your engine's ability to stay properly lubricated. At the same time, it is very important not to cool the oil too much; This is where the kit comes in Racingline.
In high-speed driving, the serial oil cooler is easily exceeded. The failures begin to feel when the oil cannot dissipate the heat collected fairly quickly and it begins to lose its fluidity and to deteriorate, thus losing its lubrication properties.
- The kit Racingline solves this problem: by adding an additional air duct to the oil cooler located in the airflow at the front of the car, oil temperatures are reduced by about 15 to 20 degrees °C (on average)
- The kit is mounted on the original intercooler and is added to the forward mounted intercooler, which doubles the cooling capacity of the engine by reducing heat transfer in the water system.
- When the oil moves away from heat inside the engine, its temperature drops significantly as it is pumped through very compact fins of the 10-row cooler mounted directly into the cold air stream.
- The kit is provided with a complete accessory pouch for a simple and fast installation
Installation of oil cooler kit
As you doubt, the oil cooler Racingline is a kit for EA888 gen3.
The system is designed for simple adjustment and ultimate reliability. All necessary for mounting is included in the kit.
Unlike some oil cooler kits, it is not necessary to remove the intake manifold to access oil galleries with the kit Racingline. This allows you to keep an engine input and output power at any time.
The intelligent oil filter adapter allows to install the oil cooler sandwich plate under the current oil filter location on all EA888.3 engines, which is enough to remove it to replace it.
This sandwich plate includes an integrated discharge valve system to protect the system from pressure points.
The 10-row oil cooler works to achieve a maximum heat decrease without excessive load loss.
The power and return hardened in nylon, stainless steel of the 210 series, pass beyond the chassis leg in the bumper cavity, and then connect directly to the oil cooler.
Inside the kit...
- Oil cooler fixing brackets (two games)
- Power and return hardened in nylon, AN10 210 series.
- Round-trip sandwich plate CNC.
- Assembly kit containing all the nuts, bolts, washers and rubber mounting coils required.
- Oil cooler AN10 to 10 rows.
- Used alu filter box with removable recessed filter.
Engineer precision for perfect performance...
- Left threaded oil filter body for easy (and clean) drains
- The high-speed micronic filter in stainless steel included in each kit
- High quality CNC T6 6061 aluminum used for precise adjustment
- Anodized shiny bill for sustainable protection and beautiful appearance
- The adaptation plate is placed under the oil filter with a pressure control valve to divert the oil flow around the new cooling system
