Stop the misfires on AEB / ATW 1.8T engines

On early Audi A4 B5 and VW Passat B5 1.8T models, ignition relies on a control module (ICM) and 3-wire coils that age badly. The usual symptoms: rough idle, misfires under load, and hours spent swapping ICMs and coils around to find the fault. This kit fixes it at the source: the ICM is gone and you move to the coils used on 2.0 TFSI / TSI engines, which are more modern and more affordable.

Kit contents

• 4 coil conversion harnesses (3-wire to 4-wire)
• 1 ICM delete harness

Required separately: 4 x 2.0 TFSI / TSI coils and a set of coil adapters for the valve cover (the AEB valve cover does not directly accept push-down coils). They are not included in this kit.

Only 1.8T engines fitted with 3-wire coils and an ICM are concerned. Other 1.8T 20V engines (Golf IV, Leon, TT, S3, etc.) already accept 4-wire coils without this kit. Please check your engine code before ordering.
